KeepMyRow privacy

Privacy should be easy to understand.

This policy describes what KeepMyRow stores on your device, what is optional, and where to ask questions. Last updated September 10, 2026.

The short version

KeepMyRow is an offline-first crochet row counter. Your projects, pattern text, notes, row progress, sessions, and local settings are stored on your device. You do not need an account.

We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use your pattern content to build a profile. Purchases are handled by Apple. Optional product analytics are categorical and can be turned off in Settings.

What stays local

Your projects

Project names, source text, notes, row labels, stitch settings, repeat definitions, progress, and session history remain in the app’s local storage. KeepMyRow does not upload this content to its own server.

Backups you choose

You can export and import your own project backup using the iOS share and file systems. Those copies go wherever you choose to put them. Relevant iOS device backups may also include app data according to your Apple backup settings.

Purchases

The optional lifetime unlock is processed and restored through Apple’s App Store services. KeepMyRow receives the StoreKit result needed to unlock or restore the feature; it does not receive or store your payment details.

Product analytics and your choice

KeepMyRow may send anonymous, categorical product signals through TelemetryDeck when analytics are enabled. The production release will default to enabled for new users or those who have not made a choice; a previously saved refusal stays off. The current signal set describes broad actions such as a project being created, a session starting or finishing, a backup being imported or exported, a paywall being shown, or a purchase/restore result.

The SDK uses a pseudonymous, hashed client identifier, a random session identifier, and event timestamps to count usage. We do receive the SDK’s standard app/build, device/OS, language/region, accessibility and display settings, calendar settings (not your calendar contents), and session/retention metadata. We do not set an account identifier, use an advertising identifier, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Read TelemetryDeck’s privacy information for details about its processing.

Signals do not include pattern text, project names, notes, exact counts, durations, file paths, transaction IDs, prices, or free-form error messages. Simulator, test, preview, practice, and local StoreKit fixture traffic is excluded. Production telemetry remains disabled until the production identity is deliberately enabled and verified.

You can change the analytics choice in Settings at any time. Turning it off stops future signals; it does not delete your local projects. To delete local project data, use the app’s delete controls or remove the app. Contact support@keepmyrow.app if you need help understanding a local export or deletion request.

Service providers

Apple provides App Store and StoreKit services for purchases and restoration. If enabled, TelemetryDeck provides the optional anonymous analytics service described above. Email support is handled through the support mailbox and its mail provider so we can read and answer your request.

We do not use advertising cookies, marketing trackers, or an account system on this website.
